General
  1. I am having difficulty saving my gadget's settings, each time I restart my browser all the previous settings I've done are gone. What should I do?
  2. A few of our gadgets save your settings in a cookie stored on your computer. You should enable your browser to allow cookies from LabPixies. For more information please visit: Enabling Cookies.
    It is also possible that you are running a cookie cleanup software. Whenever you close the browser or restart the computer the cookies are deleted and so the settings return to the default configuration. Please try to configure this program not to delete cookies from LabPixies.com.
  3. How can I delete a gadget from my iGoogle page?
  4. In order to remove a gadget from your iGoogle page, simply click the "down arrow" button at the top right side of the gadget and then select "delete" from the drop down menu.
  5. My iGoogle page isn't working correctly. What should I do?

LabPixies TV
  1. My TV gadget won't play, what should I do?
  2. Some tv channels take a while to load. Please wait up to 30 seconds for a channel to load.
    If you got an error message, you might want to check this:
     Internet Explorer users:
    You must have Windows Media Player installed.

     Mac users:

    1. The LabPixies TV shows Windows Media Player streams. Most of the channels will work on a mac, but you will need to have a plug-in on your browser that playes Windows Media files (You can download a free player at: Flip4Mac.com).

    3.  Flip4Mac Plug-In stops video automatically when using FireFox. While channel is playing, double-click the TV screen to show video. You may need to wait a few seconds for the video to load.

  3. How can I submit new stations to the LabPixies TV stations list?
  4. In order to submit a new TV station do as follows:
    1. On the LabPixies TV gadget, click the settings button ().
    2. Click the Change Stations button (Change Stations). You can also open the page directly by clicking this link:
    TV Stations Community.
    3. At the bottom of the page, you will find the "Submit a New Station" form:
    a. Select a Country from the given list.
    b. Select the desired Genre.
    c. Insert the name of the new station.
    d. Insert the URL of the new station.

    For example, if you want to add the ABC News Now station, select the "United States" from the country list and "News" from the Genre list. Insert "ABC News Now" as the station's name, add the station's URL: http://www.streamick.com/asx2/abcnewsj.asx and click the Submit button.
  5. How can I watch TV in a full screen mode?
  6. If the LabPixies TV screen is too small for you and you would like to watch the show in full screen, simply double click the video while a show is on and it will open in full screen mode. To close full screen view, click the esc button or double click the screen.
  7. How can I change my TV's stations?
  8. In order to change stations on your LabPixies TV do the following:
    1. Click the settings button () on the LabPixies TV gadget.
    2. Click the Change Stations button (Change Stations).
    3. A new browser screen will open (do not close the old window - it must remain open for the settings to take effect). In the new window select the channels you like using the channel buttons (12345).
    4. Close the new window.
    5. Click the Save button in the settings screen of the LabPixies TV gadget window.
  9. Why does my TV stop playing after a while?
  10. Occasionally your browser may refresh your homepage and then you will need to turn on the TV again by selecting a channel. If you don't want this to happen, simply go to the settings screen of the TV gadget (by clicking on this button ) and select the check box next to "Remember play mode on refresh?".

  2. In order to submit a new radio station do as follows:
    1. On the LabPixies Radio gadget, click the settings link on the top right side of the gadget.
    2. Click the Change Stations button (change stations). You can also open the page directly by clicking this link:

    3. At the bottom of the page, you will find the "Submit a New Station" form:
    a. Select a Country from the given list.
    b. Select the desired Genre.
    c. Insert the name of the new station.
    d. Insert the URL of the new station.

    For example, if you want to add the ESPN RADIO station, select the "United States" from the country list and "Sports" from the Genre list. Insert "ESPN RADIO" as the station's name, add the station's URL: http://espnrad.vo.llnwd.net/o10/espnradio/espnradio061027.asx and click the Submit button.
  3. How can I change my radio's stations?

My IP
  1. My IP Gadget displays displays a different IP address than mine.
  2. The gadget display the IP address of your computer as seen on the Internet. If you are using a NAT/PROXY/SWITCH server it is possible that the IP address that you see is different than the one the gadget shows.
LabPixies Clock
  1. How do I change the time on my LabPixies clock to my time zone?
  2. Our clock gadget displays the time as configured on your computer. If you change the time settings on your computer the clock gadget will change as well.
Live Weather
  1. How can I set the temperature units to Celsius units?
  2. In order to show the temperature in Celsius in the weather gadget you should do as follows:
    1. Click the "edit" link at the top left side of the gadget, this will open the gadget's edit box.
    2. Choose the temperature units at the bottom of the edit box.
